Yea, people are bitching so much about the GOT ending not being what they expected that they don’t appear to be talking about what did happen and what that means. Like what did Tyrion and Sansa talk about when she told him about John’s heritage? Tyrion’s freeing his brother was pure stupidity despite his love for Jame — Dany certainly found out right before the battle, and this may have been the final straw that made her torch the city — her own hand betrayed her (and for somebody who wanted to help somebody who betrayed them) — sorry I wasn’t touched as much as seeing how utterly stupid that was. But I guess that is love? Same reason why Dany let John snow close enough to kill her — she was blinded by love? Where they really in love? Is that why John still appeared to support her at the end after she torched the city? Did Sansa realize that telling Tyrion probably led to Dany torching the city? Maybe that’s OK, because better to know that she’s a tyrant before she gets too powerful.
We don’t understand the tragedy of a character unless we really fall in love with them over a long period of time, only to find out they weren’t who we thought they were.
And how do these lessons apply to what is happening in our world today, like worshiping a false god/leader, and not seeing who they really are, when it’s staring at you in the face.
