Yea that happened so quick, apparently without any though or analysis.

Then, in 2011, the Fukushima nuclear incident happened. The shock of the horrifying impact it had on Japan rocked Germany. In response, Angela Merkel set in motion a plan for Germany to phase out nuclear power by the end of 2022. At the time, this pleased the government and the German voters.

Yea that happened so quick, apparently without any though or analysis. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce that this was politically driven, prob in part by the fossil fuel suppliers.
