Yes and I wonder how we handle issues like monitoring the AI activities, statistics, and liability especially when it comes to things like automated cars. The car insurance issue is extremely complex and worse yet there are no precedents. AI is obviously here to stay (especially the weaker forms), but I seriously wonder to what extent people are relying on it too much without monitoring it and understanding these other important issues. At least Amazon discovered that it is biased against women — but for every bad thing one discovers there are probably hundreds of other issues that weren’t discovered. And then when it comes to something like resumes, something that people have always gamed, like exaggerating, putting in keywords, I wonder to what extent AI can see around these. So far the evidence is not good.
